How deep is your flood tray? 3 gallon reservoir is imho way to small for a reservoir for a flood drain setup. I was running a 10 gallon reservoir on my very first system and I found myself topping off the res with nutrients and Ph adjusted water every day to keep the pump from running dry.

For hydroponics, I've seen stuff like this sometimes. Not normal, but can be treated easily. Try to adjust the nutrient levels, add a little bit of calcium or something. I'm already adding calcium and magnesium at 3ml per gallon.

Do you find the T5 fixtures to heat up the growing space a lot? This lighting system is situated inside a 4x4 grow tent. I am running full climate controls with fan speed controller, so I really am not bothered with light temps. I maintain 68% RH at 76° lights on, 75% RH at 68° lights off...
