    Takanotsume seeds

I should get off my lazy ...and get pics of the plants from your seeds. They're all looking really healthy. The plants I kept are all good strong plants.

    and so...it begins again

Good to see they're coming up for you. Those little plants produce HEAPS of pods. They work well as an ornamental and are good eating, too. Got my first green Siam pod. We are having really hot and humid weather here and the young plants aren't doing too well, have dropped quite a few flowers...

    Takanotsume seeds

I'm hoping the same for my Red Savina. They are so slow growing that I don't think they're going to make it. The Takanotsume are much quicker.

Chinese 5 color and other hot ornamentals

My take on the Chinese 5 Colour... Quite a strong taste that I doesn't seem to agree with me. I can't pin point what it is, but they are definately not what I'd call a nice tasteing pepper. WAY too many seeds for the anmount of flesh. I'll grow it again just for looks. It's a top looking plant.

Chinese 5 color and other hot ornamentals

hey ima, Are you ripe yet? I can't shake this cold so I'm just enjoying the heat for now. My first orange habs are ripe too and I can't enjoy them because of this stinking cold.

I've got a bit of a cold at the moment so I can't give you an accurate taste report. I'll do that next week when my head clears up.

Chinese 5 color and other hot ornamentals

Well I just picked and indulged in my first ripe pod for the season. These little guys pack quite bit of heat for alittle pepper. Any recommendations for other hot ornamentals?

    Chinese Ornamental Pepper

We've got a variety here in Japan that we call "Shima tougarashi" translated to "Island Pepper" or "island Chili". It looks just like that, it's a good producer and got some decent heat.

I'll try to get some pics up over the weekend. There's no strange coloring, just curly pods...

    Why are my pods curling???

Have had some aphids and thrips, but not a lot. Do they cause curling of fruit? Will the fruit still be usable? Cheers,

    Why are my pods curling???

All of the early pods (Kimchi) grew really well but all new pods now are curling. Is this some kind of deficiency in the soil?

    Tiny plants with pods aready?

I've let mine go and even though they started fruiting early they're doing really well now. Let 'em go.

    Home made heated propagator

Haven't had any luck with the Savina unfortunately. I'm hoping I've got enough time left in the season to get some good fruit from the Siam and Scotch Bonnet. They're just putting out their first set of real leaves, so they'll be moving out of the tray next week. Will keep you posted.
