Noted I am thinking to do both as an experiment, does it matter how close they are?

They will eventually go into either five gallon or the ground. I think I have enough for both!

I am debating the very same thing. Bottom line is I would rather have one strong seedliing, than two damages ones or even one damaged one. 

In shock that many if not most of my peppers are coming back despite a long and hard winter.

I remember last year when I started growing hot peppers, the people on gardenweb were so helpful. Since gardenweb sold out to some foreign power called Houzz, I would just like to shout out to those that responded to me as Valdo, perhaps we may find ourselves here?

Like I said I am worried because a lot of bugs, but not panicked. I do not see aphids just their little bulbs under the leaves. What are the ants doing? I'd supply a picture but what extention should I use?

I have a blooming chocolate scotch bonnet, doing well, minimal eating on the leaves. But there are black ants everywhere and I fear they may be harvesting aphids. I tried some neem oil, works for a while but nothing permanent. Should I be worried?  

I will say this, I chopped up one of the pseudo- scotches and they are incredibly delicious, somewhere between a habanero and a jalapeño (yeah I know its a wide range). The heat is strong, but not madness. As soon as you think you can't, it goes away. Perfect my level of preference.

Dang those pictures do need work, is there a site that is all about matching what is in your hand to a picture. I can use some info on some other peppers that got mis-labeled. 

Glad you said that what is the position on taking out peppers or hot peppers seeds? More importantly, what is the position of the United States in such an endeavor?

Many thanks to you, I will be reminding you later in the season. I plan to go to Jamaica next month and will see, taste, smell what I am looking for. Perhaps get some MOA's of my own. 

Fortunately I did not pay for them. My pepper-bookkeeping is so bad that at least I think I did not pay for them. The squash peppers look good, taste great considering I am not into super-hots and there is always seeds for the scotch bonnets. Im only a bit upset because I used a grow box to grow...

Planted a whole mess of seeds that I thought were true scotch bonnets, turned out to be Jamaican Squash Peppers. 7 squash pepper to 1-2 scotch bonnets!    Kind of bummed about that, could use some pepper therapy. 

How comparable are Jamaican squash peppers to Scotch Bonnets, are they versions of the same beast?

Yes I have heard of them called Jamaican mushrooms. Are they comparable?

Do bonnets come in a standard shape, like jalapenos, that you can spot a mile away; or do they vary in shape looking like those in my album and more like a habanero? I have some supposed scotchs that look like a deflated snow cap. 

So, scotchs?   I added a few more pictures now that I know what I am doing! It was the triangular shape that was really throwing me off.
