a serious question about bhut jolokia

my plant is on the process of ripening, the first 5 pods i harvested was full red, now the second batch is not turning red, theyre orange and already in full color in about 3 days now, those reds i harvested they almost did not turn orange or maybe a mix of orange and red. anybody? thanks
 
I have a naga morich that did exactly the same thing, the second wave of pods finally just turned red after 4-5 days as orange. I was pretty confused as well!
 
+1 Spongey, I have noticed my bhuts turn red overnight it seems like when there's pods on the plants and temps are high. Then when the temps cool especially at night they go threw the orange phase slower and longer. My caribbean reds also did this, this year when the temps first dropped below 70 at night. So yea just wait they'll turn.
