Any chance of Pimenta Elisa seeds?

Hello my fellow pepperfriends :)
I found out about Pimenta Elisa and Pimenta Tiger a few days ago. Since then i was looking all around the internet, only to realise that ( at least) the tiger isn't available to non-members of AISPES. I understand that, i would want a stable form anyway. But i didn't get much information about the Pimenta Elisa. Is this variety also being stabilized or is there a slight possibility of getting some seeds somewhere? Would be awesome.

ich bin wiener

leider ist Pimenta Elisa auch durch AISPES geschützt und wer weiß wie lange es dauert bis die öffentlichkeit auch davon naschen darf.
jedefalls kannst du dich für 20 Euro pro Jahr bei AISPES registrieren und bekommst saatgut deiner wahl. ich persönlich finde AISPES sehr unterstützenswert.

wenn du nähere info brauchst, sags mir. hab zu einigen AISPES gründern kontakt

Aparently, your correspondentwork is from Vienna. He says that the variety is still protected by AISPES, and who knows how long that will continue. He says that for 20 EUR that you can register and participate in trades there, and in his opinion, he thinks they are worth supporting.

(That was directed at prehensile; I suspect icebarker/max could read that just fine.) :)

Prehensile: Danke, sogar auf deutsch :) Wohne auch in Wien, studier dort, bin aber Welser ;) Gut dann ists leider wirklich so, wie ich mir gedacht hab.. Ich nehme mal an du bist Mitglied, da du ja ein paar Leute kennst? Wie ist das bezüglich der Sortenreinheit? Ich muss ja Samen wieder abgeben, aber muss ich da die Pflanze völlig isolieren, oder reichts, wenn ich ein paar Blüten selbstbestäuben lasse, die Samen aufhebe und die Samen der anderen einfach entsorge? Spiele mittlerweile wirklich schon mit dem Gedanken, dort 20 euro zu deponieren, die Arbeit, die dort verrichtet wird, ist bemerkenswert. Und die Sorten sind einfach unglaublich :)

bin nicht Prehensile sondern Chilinferno ;)

ja es geht darum die sorte zu stabilisieren. sprich auf sortenreinheit wird aller größten wert gelegt. die samen werden wieder zurückgeschickt sobald sich der ersehnte phenotyp gezeigt hat. neue phenotypen können unter umständen auch erscheinen, da muss AISPES entscheiden, ob dieser auch weiter selektiert wird.
um auf die Elisa zurückzukommen....hast die posts vom cmpman1974 gesehen? der hat pfirsichfarbene früchte gekriegt, die er weiterselektieren möchte

ich wollte heuer mitglied werden, habs aber dann gelassen, weil ich viel zu viele andere sorten habe, die angebaut gehören
aber spenden tue ich sicher was ;)

The Piments Elise and the Pimenta Tiger are both different varients from the same Crossing of Pimenta de Neyde x Bhut Jolokia
both are stil unstable, the only way to obtain these hybrid strains and other very interesting hybrids is to join AISPES

Concerning the isolation: Does that mean, i have to prepare the room for these plants to grow on their own, so there is no possibility of them being crossed with something else? Would limit me quite a bit. Can't simply give my balcony to one single pepper. BUT I WANT IT SO BADLY... :banghead:

You are not alone with this problem! There are multiple discussions on this topic, including here, here, here, here, and here. There are many different solutions; the one I'm trying right now is the gelatine capsule idea from Yaotsin (with pictures in the last link.)
