I am having a hell of a time with my plants defoliating. I am in VA and it has been non-stop rain all summer. The leaves develop small brown spots and eventually drop.
Hay man I'm near Richmond. Last night I did the milk and water solution and I'm sure it will help as I've seen others do this and it worked. It's raining here now!

Something about the Lactose or by product of the milk has healing properties in it. Seen it used on roses tomatoes and peppers before and it seemed to work great as it created beneficial microorganisms on the surface of the leaf.
As an update to this, with all the rain we had here these past few weeks this problem has seemed to resurface. The leaves start showing spots and drop. Does anyone else have this trouble?
