Anyone tried this... "Chilli Focus Plant Food"

These are just a sample. So whilst chileseeds.co.uk is the most expensive, it has the cheapest delivery option making it the winner. That might change of course if you are buying a lot of it.
 
I've used Chilli Focus in certain plants this year, but I didn't notice any difference in results compared to bog standard tomato feed. Save your money :)
 
I am a big Chilli Focus user, buying 20L at a time.

Last grow season, this was the only fertiliser I used. I had tremendous results, but only after using rain water, I think the mains water here is either too high in chlorine or something else.

This season, I'll be doing an alternating fertiliser regime, using 1 week of Chilli Focus, and the alternate week on worm juice. Will report my results, but I guess the worm juice will help the plant uptake the Chilli Focus better.

Growth Technology are the guys that make this stuff, they manufacture it in both the U.K., and in Perth here in Australia. Costs me under $120 AU to get 20L shipped direct to my door, which works out quite well for me.
 
Worm juice, a.k.a. worm wee.

Worm farms that you can buy from garden shops have a small collection area with a tap to extract the worm wee. This thing is rich in plant hormones, especially auxins, which is essentially steroids for plants.

Worm wee has the benefits of assisting the uptake of the nutrients that are present in the soil. So my theory is that if I use the Chilli Focus one week, and the worm wee the next, I might be able to get better results than just Chilli Focus alone.

But then again, according to a recent study out of Finland or Sweden, using a combination of human urine and wood ash on tomato plants gives comparative results to commerical fertilisers, and costs a crap load less. Why not start pissing all over your plants? ;)

Haha, given that i'm growing them indoors, I'm not sure the girlfriend would appreciate that!

No odor if the worm farm is healthy. I keep it in the basement. I did have a small fruit fly problem, but it cleared away after I allowed some of the excess moisture to evaporate and put a large piece of cardboard covering the compost. You can make your own worm farm... It doesn't really produce juice, but maybe I am doing it wrong. Turns out rich compost though haven't had the chance to use it yet.

Cardboard can work, but I've found hessian bags work better. I end up getting clumps of worms inside the bag, so for some reason it seems to entice them to the surface to feed on the fresh scraps.
