overwintering Aphids on Overwintered Plant

Hi All,

Aphid question for the experts out there.

I am trying to over winter a Hab I had last year. For the last several months it appears to be infested with aphids. I keep trying to kill off the buggers with Neem but they always seem to come back.

All the while I have been watering the plan and it still looks somewhat healthy (considering the cut backs).

Do you think the plant can still survive?

Any ideas for getting rid of these bastids for good?

thanks,
jj

A neem Bomb.

and then send in the Calvary Ladybugs, but make sure they are hungry first. ;)

Good luck, those are a pesky enemy.

I use pyrethrum sprays followed by neem and soap sprays in rotation, and then I use ladybugs when they are available free, or I purchase them if needed.

I sprinkled garlic powder on the plants and dirt the first time I saw aphids. Had the boogers on other plants in the room, but they have not been spotted on the overwintered plants.

I have only overwintered 1 plant and I cut it back to a stick, I did not have any problems with aphids is it because there were no leaves on it or can you still get aphids?
