Hi there,
Although I've grown peppers back in 2010 and 2011 (life pushed me away from, unfortunately), I can say I'm a newbie on this. In other words, I'm restarting from nearly zero. The only things I have is a lil bit of experience from what I have not completely forgoten and a good variety of seeds, most of them old (3 or 4 years).
So I'm trying to grow some plants from my old seeds, from some that I've got from friends and some that I purchased. On this new experiment (started on Sep 13, 2014), I put 48 seeds (44 old + 04 new) of distinct varieties in an Osmopriming solution (destilled water + NaCl) for about 24 hours.
Seeds in Osmopriming solution.
48 seeds total.
About 24 hours later, the seeds were transferred into small polyethylene flasks to start their "in vitro" germination process. I made "beds" for them with some cotton soaked in mineral water.
Each seed went to a distinct flask.
All 48 seeds.
Less than 48 hours later, one of the seeds (not an old one, but one of the new ones) germinated:
A little Jalapeño.
I'll do my best to keep this Glog updated. Sorry about my english and PLEASE, correct me and call my attention for any kind of mistake or something I eventually do wrong about anything.
A hug!
