beer Being Crafty

This taste like somebody's first attempt brewing a RIS. Almost reminds me of the Brown Ale I brewed last year too. #MagicHat

Almost three weeks into the new year and this was the first time sparking up the weber. Felt like it needed a decent burn in ritual, full load of dragons breath lump and a fire breather blackened pilsner to go along.

Straight up med ground /~80/20.
With coarse kosher flake and black pepper for the burgs.

Sorbet. Aslin. Milkshake style IPA hopped with citra and mosaic, with lots of peach, mango, and vanilla. This is one of the best IPAs I've had lately, and definitely the best milkshake style IPA I've ever had. The fruity aroma is out of this world, not to mention the flavor, and especially the aftertaste. Soooooo tasty!

Berliner weisse with boysenberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Aslin.

This is my favorite of Aslin's fruited Berliners. An absolute berry bomb!

It has that one sided lacto sour note from the kettle souring, versus that super diverse sour/funky cocktail from the Monkish boysenberry sour I had a few weeks ago. I'd still have to give it to Monkish for the best boysenberry sour I've ever had, but this is a close second.

Ashen, I got my hands on a 4-pack of Collective Arts' "Life in the Clouds" NEIPA this morning. I'm pretty pumped to try it. They were warm, out on the shelf though, so I threw a couple in the freezer a little while ago.

Also grabbed some of D3's favorite; Lizard King. Had some over the Summer, they're pretty bangin'. Super crushable

Nice. It is a solid NEIPA, I doubled up on it on the flight I had at the brewery. Wish you could try some of the stuff Barn Cat is putting out. Some next level haze going on there. I am only about 30 mins from them but I hardly ever get any. They are only open 7hrs a week for growler fills, fri evening and sat afternoon.

BTW keep your eyes open for No 5 they pushed up release. Brewery had it yesterday and should be hitting elsewhere in next week or two
