Best Possible Start?

Hello All,

I am sure that most of us are gearing up to either transplant into the ground or pots or whichever final home your peppers will have for the season.

That said I was curious of how to give them the best possible start?  I bought a large bag of Pro-mix soil and am mixing it with a bit more perlite to help with drainage, should I add bonemeal or matches or coffee ot anything to the transplant hole? (besides a light fert mix with water)?

Thanks!!

-Steve

I always use a bit of starter fertilizer (geared towards root development) when transplanting. I've found it reduces or even eliminates transplant shock.
