So I purchased a grow tent which is quite large. 4 feet deep 8 feet wide by 6.5 feet tall. I also purchased two 600 w MW bulbs and holders as i was advised. However when I went to pick them up I got two 1000W bulbs instead. At first I thought bonus.. but i am not wondering if this is overkill for the sized grow tent I have purchased. My goal is to have 30-50 plants in the tent in 1 gallon containers. Being a newbie I did not realize I needed a ballast for each bulb. Thought I could plug it into a regular socket like my current CFL line up. So I guess i now have to decide to buy 1 ballast for 1 1000w bulb or two ballasts for two 600w and tell the seller he gave me the wrong bulb. Would it be a good idea to just use 1 1000w instead of two 600w?

I have 1 1000w HPS over and 8 by 8 area workin out great.... mine is not a tent how ever so you should get even better result
