Murciano Jul 9, 2011 #1 Hi Last week this early jalapeno came out to the terrace, in a shady area, but these days the temperatures were very high, above 40 ° C What you recommend me to do with the burning leaves? thanks

menotume Jul 9, 2011 #3 If it were me I'd clip off that one (not top) burned leaf, but I'd also wait for the experts to give a better opinion! EDIT: Try hardening it off .. putting outside in the shade for only maybe an hour, increasing the time a little each day.

The Medicinal Pepper Jul 9, 2011 #4 Put the plant in a more shaded area as it looks like the sun burnt it rather than the temperature.
SuperHot Jul 9, 2011 #5 First of all I would pot up to a larger size. The pepper needs to be hardened off and is best done with gradual sun exposure. Start off with a few hours a day and gradually increase the amount over time. It's tough love, but this is how it's done. Good luck!!
