Last summer, I was growing Black Hungarians. I had around six plants growing. All of the plants produced a fair amount of peppers. One of the plants gave me the traditional conical Black Hungarian shaped peppers, but it also gave me some that were about 5" long and 1" across. It also produced two smallish bell pepper shaped pods that were about 3" long and 3" wide. All the peppers had the same heat and coloration. I saved seeds from the two freak pods.

Interesting... I've had similar variations in size with my cayenne plant. Some were huge and others were short and wide.
could have been cross polinated mabey you have hungarian X bell hybred on that one
