If fine grade dolomite lime is applied within a potting mix inside of a pot, how long does the calcium and magnesium usually last before having to add more calcium and magnesium? Do they both diminish at the same rates or does the mag diminish quicker than the cal or vice versa? Thanks y'all.
 
I found somewhat of an answer from Al on gardenweb, but he says that the cal mag in the dolomite will last at least the entire season. That's a good start.
 
The fine crushed dolomite that I have used included some slightly larger particles 2-3mm. Should outlast the season easily. Only the fine powder dissolves quickly the larger grains last ages.
