first peppers ever

HA HA.....I got my first peppers there about 1/2 inch long and growing rapidly nothing exciting just some jalapenos and cayennes the Cayennes are doing bad because of the weather. The blooms turned brown and fell off but now there is little bloom starts all over it. Here is a picture. Any hints on when is a good time to pick jalapenos? The cayennes are on the left should i stake it?

Looking good Mike!

Plus, stressed plants make for hotter peppers..whoohoo!

I gotta Bih Jolokia that was sun-fried and lost all but one leaf, that's gonna be one hottt batch of peppers when it fruits. It already has new leaves now, but ya can bet it'll be a scorcher. :)

definitely stake the cayenne...

you can pick your jalapenos when you start seeing the little "cracks" in the skin while it is still green or else you can wait until the jap starts turning red...
