First Worm Tea Bucket

Made a worm tea bucket with some PVC pipe...I think it came out pretty nice. Lots of aeration...we will see how the first batch turns out.

Really good air flow.

Molasses in the water and a few cups of EWC in the painter sock.

Had to run some electrical tape around the pipe to keep the air wand from floating up.

All set I will check back in 24 to 48 hours and let you know how it turns out.

Cost about $10- 15, not including the pump. Put it on this years list.

If I can find the time, I will.  There is just not enough time on the weekends to do all this stuff.  What size pump?  What did you use to connect the pump hose to the PVC?

Very cool..I did the same thing last week....good job man..love seeing people doing different and interesting things ... I'm stealing your idea of putting something under the lid to keep the PVC from floating...

No intentions of high jacking your thread,,,sorry

Looks real good Quincy! Definitely will get a lot of use out of it

Hows the greenhouse coming along? Did you get everything moved outside?

Great idea with the PVC. I always have to weigh my air-stones down with small weights, and then all the slime stuff gets stuck in-between them and also along the air hoses. It's a mess cleaning it when I'm done. Your method looks to require much less maintenance and wiping down the PVC should be a breeze. Great job.

Very nice. I'd like to see more bubbles that create a surface for microbes to access o2. That just looks like constant agitation. Not sure if it's better or worse at the molecular level? Just thinking out loud. The frustrating part for me about AACT is how hard it is to confirm results before application. Brilliant set up brother.

A second look at one of the pictures in particular makes me believe my observation is overthinking. I think that will work brilliantly. Well done. I have a mash tun for brewing that will the exact same thing with modifies fittings... hmmm upgrade!!

I just applied my second AACT batch and my plants are really small. I have nothing to compare to since this is the first time I've taken gardening seriously. I'm just going to trust the science

Not yet I'm hoping to complete it over 4th of July weekend ...I got 5 days off. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds out.

I have found that the black irigation pipe is even cheaper. And they have 1/4 inch fittings that fit air lines. Because it is flexible you can make a circular manifold that fits snug in the bucket and holds its self down. Id take pictures but im pool side at the Hyatt on a little vacation.
