Flavours of the Caribbean (Mainly)

Thought it was about time I put on blog on here as requested by a good friend Gary (wind chicken).
I got to know Gary having done a seed trade over 2 years ago via fb, and have always admired his growing.
As title says most of my grow will be bonnets as I love Caribbean cuisine especially Jerk chicken, curry goat etc.

I started some rocotos quite early as I know they take forever to ripen..

Will make a proper grow list when I receive the p.dreadie select seeds kindly sent by Gary and one I'm pleased to have as a memory to Erin.

Another one already up and waiting to be potted on is Carrot Jolokia which I was kindly sent by Ben (bpiela), took ages to sprout a hook, but got one in the end.

Just waiting on a few stubborn bonnets to show hooks before finalizing what's a keeper.

Know quite a few of the british growers on here as there active members of a forum we all share

Trident
Dennish
Snagglepuss
Heefy Si Borg
Jay
and also Plantguy 76 Jason who is active here and a couple of other forums.

So cool to see CGN21500 growing. Hadn't seen too many folks this year with those. Can't believe I left it off the list. One of the best tasting peppers on the planet! Good time reading over your blog man. Cheers!
Cheers Chewi, great looking plants foliage wise as well, awesome flavour and pods are stunning peach /purple when ripe. Underrated pepper for sure.

With Autumn kicking in fast iv been slow on updates as not much ripening.
Been waiting on these Aji Mango for weeks.

Nice little haul, these will be smoked then used in a mango jelly.

Couple of good seed saving pods there as well.
I think it's crossed somewhere cos there seriously hot for a Baccatum. Lol [emoji23][emoji23].

Nice flavour though.

Will get one more decent harvest in the tunnel.

Thanks for looking.

Maybe they're not crosses Sim... Some of those Baccatums have a fair amount of heat. Things are looking good out your way despite slowing down. Are the Gochus still producing for you?

Were you expecting the twisted phenos from the Ajis? They look OK for Baccatum shape to me.

Yeah, that's the rub sure enough... The fruit this year is last year's genetics so we've got to wait 'til the following season to find out what we've got now. Is the flavor much different from last year?
