Greetings from the Lone Star state

Hello from north central Texas!

I've been a lurker for while, but decided it was time to join up.

I've grown peppers for about as long as I can remember, mostly hot cultivars but also various sweet and ornamental types. If it's a pepper, I'm interested in it. Really if it's a plant I’m interested in it. My degree is in horticulture so liking plants comes with the territory =]. I've spent the past few years experimenting with hybridizing. Still working out the finer details of Capsicum breeding. The bulk of my breeding knowledge lies with the daylilies, where I spent about 10 years breeding for various traits. For me growing plants is fun, but it's much more fun if you can create your own unique stuff! Over the next several seasons I'm hoping to expand my pepper collection, mainly with some of the wild species.

Look forward to discussing peppers with everyone!

Wes
