Greetings from the Wet Coast!

Hey there, i've been lurking for a couple months at least :) but I have finally signed up. This (half)year was my first attempt at any peppers, or anything at all really. I'm in Zone 7a or Sunset Zone 4 on Vancouver Island, Canada. This year I tried to grow some Jalapenos, Sweet Banana, Red Beauty Bell, and Sweet Cayenne and Anaheim (all purchased from local nursery, except Anaheim I bought at a farm market) I did start a few Cayenne(long Slim) plants from seed around June and still got some pods by end of October thanks to mild weather. I, as a newbie got ripped from eBay, not the only one (but not for Bhut seeds... All my long slim cayennes only grew about 2 1/2 to 3 inches long, and taste like thai chiles). Anyways, since they are delicious I kept them going inside under some fluoros. Next year I am attempting all from seed and am getting a bit ambitious as I am going for around 45 Varieties :), but how else will I know what I like? I could probably stuff around 100 plants or so in and around my yard but I will be growing other veggies. Thats about all I have to say. I am looking forward to seeing others progress throughout the next grow season.

Welcome from Austin Texas.
