water Grow bags vs Self watering grow bags

I grew tomatoes last year using DIY 5 gallon self watering buckets and had the best results I have ever had with tomatoes. I grew my peppers in just 5 gallon buckets without the self watering system and they did pretty well. This year I am planning on doing root pouches in 15 gallons for my tomatoes and peppers and will have the tomatoes in a "Larry Hall self watering system" but I wonder if I should also have the peppers in a self watering system.
 
Those that have done this, did it over water the peppers? Tomatoes seem to do great with self watering but what about peppers. My first thoughts are to just do it for the tomatoes and have the 15 gallon pepper pouches with 1gph drips going to them.
