Habanero aliens

Ok, so a couple years ago I had a nice batch of orange habaneros from the garden that I was chopping a few days after being picked. None of them had any visible damage... So I sliced one of them in half and inside, in the spaces between the membranes, were three of these long insects that fit perfectly in the little pepper nooks! One of them started squirming so I killed it and threw the pepper away.. I had the heebie Jeebies the whole time I cut up the rest of them, but that was the only pepper I had that seemed to serve as some kind of baby alien pod. It was pretty freaky though. Anyone else seen these guys?

Probably worms of some sort.  If you have plenty of peppers you can throw them away, but cooking them will kill bacteria.  If they are eating peppers then odds are they taste like pepper.
