Steps on Proper Feeding
Day1- Nutrients
Day 2- Nothing at all (Just Spray them Down) So that Oxygen in the Air can Aerate the Root System
Day-3 Regular Water, This Flushes the Left over Nutes that may Disturb the growing process.
Day 4- Nothing at all Again Just let it Air out
Day 5 Beginning the Next week Cycle of the Nute feeding System

They seem to need more light for best results. I feel the water and nutrients suggestions are just a sort of guide you could follow but that is not really required or any better than other methods. I just use good soil, give 'em lots of sun, water at the rate they consume it and throw down a little fertilizer every week or two depending on how often I water (watering more often than that but if I water more often then I move to fertilizing every week instead of every two).

Everyone has their own methods, the important thing is to respond if the plant looks sick or doesn't have the expected growth rate per the growing environment, but also at whatever age they are, a larger plant needs more nutrients.
