HBJ 2018

Should have more time for gardening this year as I am not working for the company, but self employed finally.

Wanted to hit 100 varieties this season but came up short with just 76.  Not sure if they will all germ anyways.  Got many more varieties from the trains I rode and from ones I grew in the past, but they didn't really speak to me when I took the extra time to dig into them.

This was suppose to be a yellow mushroom pepper.  Doesn't look right to me at all.  Grew em before and they came true.  I think this is from a packet I purchased too.  Knew it was off since the leaves look nothing like the leaves on the red mushroom.  It has a pretty good kick to it.

Nebraska tomato review:

Very juicy, yet meaty at the same time.  Quite tart for a yellow tomato.  It is looking like a keeper to grow next season.

Looks like my Fresno is throwing a chocolate strain.  Not sure if it will stay this color or not, but I will have to save seeds from this pod.  They grow bigger than a jalapeno, and once ripe, can be hotter.  Make a great stuffer.

7 Pot pink.  Only 7 pot that I've liked in the past has been the burgandy, and I love that one.  Thought I'd give the pink a try.  First one I cut smelled green.  Second one a light fruity smell.  The weather here has been the driest I have ever seen.  It is not good on anything.

Will taste test a little later tonight.  After this morning, the Tidy Bowl might quit if I hit him again tomorrow morning.

Aji Melocoton.  Has the typical baccatum taste, which I don't enjoy, but it isn't as noticeable in these pods.  Didn't really get a flavor other than to say mellow.  Thin skinned, but that could be with the year I am having here too.

Tongue and lip burn that doesn't get too hot and peaks pretty fast.  If it had better flavor it would be a great garden muncher.

Hey, Jeff, glad to see you are doing well with your peppers.
You have some interesting varieties growing, for sure.

If you are interested in growing some of Trippa's PdN x BMJ
cross, give me a shout out, and I'll send you some of the F7
generation seeds.
