help growing pineapple

My daughter wants to grow a pineapple she tried once before with no luck so i thought i would get some pointers and help her out this time. I know nothing about this so any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx
 
we had 4 growing..

that site is good I looked at it.

eventually in the middle of the top of it new growth will start and the old stuff will start falling off.

watch out for rot.. we had one rot and it smelled horrible.
 
Ummm, yeah what Sawyer said. lol. I was too late. I'm going to give this a go. Takes so long....it will teach me patience.
 
they are very slow so be patient. and once it produces a fruit i would recommend just starting a new one and not trying to get a second out of the plant. takes very long and it may not give you another fruit.
