I had to buy me a dozen packs thinking I'll be making compost teas for a while... I have about half a years worth of pantyhose now

I was thinking of using them or paint strainers for my SIP net pots to keep soil from falling into the reservoir.

A old china cap strainer from a yard sale works great as well. And it is reusable.

Cheaper in the long run to buy a 400 micron bag on eBay or a paint straining bag.

+1. I think I payed all of 5 bucks for a nylon 400 micron. Those paint strainers look great, it would be handy to be able to strap around a bucket instead of hanging.

I hold the ring at the top to the side of the bucket with a clothes pin and put one airstone inside the bag and another on the bottom of the bucket.
