Hi my name is Yamato Villasenor and I am a professional cook inspired by Japanese and Latino flavors.

I just recently moved to Tokyo from California to achieve my culinary liscense! I will be attending the infamous Hattori culinary school starting this April! I really enjoy Japanese food, but after 6 month since I’ve moved here, I’ve noticed there aren’t many hot sauces available. So I’ve came up with an idea to come up with my own hot sauce that can hopefully be acceptable to the Japanese people! I’m not sure yet what kind of peppers are available here in Japan but I really want to use something beside Togarashi which is very common here. Does anyone have any experience growing chilli peppers here in Japan? If so will you be interested in partnering up to making some awesome hot sauce! Thank you

Hi, Yamatovilla, I don't know anything about peppers in Japan but I googled its growing zone and it's 10a for Tokyo! So, warm and probably really good for peppers. You are lucky!

May I ask, what growing space do you have there?
