Identification help

Hi all,

I've recently got a nice bush of pepper as a b'day present. Since I'm already into pepper growing for a time, I'm looking for planting it again, but as neither the one who gave it, nor the guy it was bought from was able to tell the exact pepper kind, I'd ask some help here on the identification.

The plants are about 30cm tall, the buds start as black and turn into red after some time. The pictures are as follows:

That looks very similar to my maui purple. Don't buy seeds here, but here is Reimer's information on this variety.

That is definitely a cool looking ornamental you got there. Some sort of C. frutescens for sure. Could be a maui purple but there are just so many ornamental C. frutescens I can't keep track of them all.

Looks like some sort of a hybrid Black Pearl / Tabasco or Birdeye maybe...
