We shall never forget.

My 8 years old son has already been ringing the bell. And he knows what it is all about.

I was in the Navy on 9/11. I was due to get underway at 3p.m. that day, but changed to 11:15 after the attacks. I just remember how precise the WHOLE base was after that happened. The ships that werent due to leave that day still got underway, no matter what was going on.
Just a VERY surreal day.
 
I had been retired from the Air Force for a little over a year when it happened. I wanted to put the uniform back on so much that day.

A day we must never forget.
