in-ground In the ground or in pots?

Thanks plaisir8 for the things that I might consider.
Thankfully I don't have any of the possible problems that you mentioned.
It is 300' of open field fence and I own both sides of the fence.
Both sides are my lawn and the area is wide open to all to the elements (good and bad).
I am out in the middle of good ol' flat, Ohio farm land with corn, wheat, and soybean fields all around my little piece of God's good earth.

I guess my concerns were more along the line of pollination or other growing concerns.

I've had both and for pots have tried fabric bags, 5 gallon buckets, etc... and while I have great success (usually) from both, my in ground consistently are much larger and produce much more pods. That's just my experience.
For pots my best experience is with grow bag style pots- I use the Wal Mart bags that cost a buck and are hanging at the registers. They only work one season though and rot away so if over-wintering then you have to gently move to a new bag.
