Preferal Microbial Insecticide is a naturally-occurring fungus that infects both foliage and soil dwelling insects such as whiteflies, aphids, thrips, weevils, psyllids, leafminers, spider mites, mealybugs, and other pests. Lance S. Osborne, Ph.D. and Professor of Entomology, University of Florida, Mid-Florida Research and Education Center in Apopka, discovered the Isaria fumosorosea Apopka 97 strain which is the active organism in Preferal.

So can you buy spores or how ever you get a fungus? This could be something big. Can you get it to grow on the plant without any adverse reactions to it? How freaking awesome would it be to sprinkle a few fungus spores around your plants and never have to worry about aphids or whiteflys or any other plant predatory bug? We need to get this guy some big grants!

Tyler thanks for this.

Tyler thanks for this.

It's apparently in this product but I shared this information with supreme growers they grow mycorrhizal fungi.

You can purchase the fungus that kills aphids and such here: http://www.google.co...8,d.aWM&cad=rja It's called PFR-97

I am curious on it's effect on good bugs and spiders. I asked just waiting on a response.

EDIT: Didn't see your previous post Tyler, thanks.

Very nice link Patrick. More addition for the Frankenstein tea LOL! I bet that's gona be expensive. Ima keep my eye out for it to test it at least.

I haven't had problems with pest. The other day tho I was checking my plants to see how much the grew in 8 hrs while I was asleep, and I found a dirty aphid! Target annihilated...... Checked them the last 3 days and nothing :D.

Watching your babies by the hour pays off. ;)

I am actually trying the cloning with honey experiment. Not with peppers, but a few clippings of some cane roses I want to propagate more in my yard, and an apple tree clipping (I never thought you could, but apparently, you can... though the proof will be in the pudding).

The rose clippings are all budding now. No roots yet. The apple tree cutting I can see is still 'alive', but no difference yet.
