Introducing myself in the grow section

Hey there!

I have been creeping the forum for a while now and reading suggestions and tips from all the pepper growers here. I have been a long time grower of plants but am new to the pepper scene. Consider me a convert as I love the varieties and culture that surround pepper growing. The very presence of such a cool forum has been really impressive. I would be hard pressed to find another veggie that has such a cool grow culture. I wanted to introduce myself in the growing peppers section as I don't have much of a stomach for the really hot peppers and most likely won't be contributing too much to the food stuff. I wanted to grow hot peppers because my family loves them and thought my botany skills would come in handy. Pepper growing has proven to be so rewarding mostly because of the pace these babies like to move. Slow and steady. :) At least through my initial germination phase of Serrano's, Bulgarian Carrot, Cayenne's and some bell peppers, oh and anaheims. They take a long time to germinate but at least they don't seem too fussy. I put them in dishes of water on seedling heat mats and I get a good turn out.

Here are some of the bell peppers I have indoors right now. I live in Canada and these peppers are better off indoors at least until mid June. I can keep them nice and warm. Thanks for the awesome resource I can't wait to become a contributing member. More pics coming!

I'm new around here too. Kind of in an oppposite situation than you. I'm ready to turn up the heat, but DH and the little peeps can't tolerate the hot stuff ... but I'm growing the hotter stuff anyway.

Wishing you a bountiful harvest!
