is this Bhut Jolokia ?

Hi, last year I didn't know this forum and bought some Bhut Jolokia seeds from ebay. The fisrst pepper is very hot even though it is orgrange. The rest pepper is not hot eventhough they are red (ripe). Is this the real Bhut? Can anyone identidy it for me. Thank you. Also in my graden there is 3 thai pepper, 2 non-spicy pepper ( Just killed them), 1 Bhut Jolokia ( I assumed):

Thank you very much. Also, I really like the spicy pepper eventhough It will make my stomach trouble on the next day :mope: . Which one should I buy: Trinidad Scorpion T Butch or Trinidad Douglah. They are same price (20 seeds/ $8) on http://pepperlover.com. Thank you.

I like them both hard to say since im growing both. lol Trinidad Douglah is my pick
DonLava, thank you for fast response. Where did you buy your seeds? I really want to buy the "real" one only. I was ashamed when I introduce to my friends my Bhut Jololkia ( which is not very spicy).

I don't.... the great people here hooked me up. I got some extras if your down for a road trip over here, or you can send me a sasbe.

I got a few seeds of 40 plus types :mouthonfire:

Looks like another ebay scammer. They look similar to a Bhut but if they aren't hot then they are defiitely NOT Bhuts. If you ate one you should have been drooling, crying, sweating and downright miserable for about 15-20 minutes. Unless of course you're immune to capsaicin or have been eating them for a couple of years. If you want Bhut Jolokia seeds that are guaranteed then go to the source. The Chili Pepper Institue at New Mexico State University. http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/

Bih Jolokia and Bhut Jolokia are different peppers.

i had ran into this site (http://www.hotashellseeds.com/Seeds.html) about a couple weeks ago that sells seeds called Haba-Naga peppers, in which they claim to have ordered Bhut seeds from The Chili Pepper Institute but when they popped they were not bhuts the institute claimed that it was a cross that got mixed with their pure seeds by the students...1 out of 60 were this type of pepper, so who knows, i still order ordered seeds from NMSU to see what i got.

The CPI isn't perfect. The work of packing and shipping seeds is done by college students and they do make mistakes. I've gotten seeds from them that were not in the best of shape and when I contacted them about it they replaced the seeds without any hassle.
