What do 2 week old jalapeno seedlings look like? I want to know if my cross worked and the seedlings are about an inch and a half tall, I don't know if that is an already existing characteristic or heterosis. It is an anuum and chinense cross (if it worked as planned, which it probably didn't.)

they all look the same that young.. just the cotys maybe 1or2 set of leaves.
you can start to tell when they have maybe 4-5 sets of leaves.
chinense will have broad big leaves. annum smaller leaves. a cross though might have different characteristics of both....
If you want to really identify you will have to wait until flower.
