I'll be adding to and possibly dropping from the Chinense list, about 60% of my seed variety made this list thus far.

Wow Chris... you're really serious about the Thai chiles... I'll be checking out your glog this season to see how they grow for you. i cook a fair amount of Thai, and I have recipes for the curry pastes if you're interested. Good luck with your grow this year!

+1 about the thai chilis! I grew thai dragons a couple of years back and they produced like crazy. If yours are that prolific you're definitely going to have loads of powders and other goodies at the end of it all.

"one night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble" sry....all this talk of Thialand makes me think of the movie hangover II. lots of peppers there. really interested in watching these grow out this season.

I had no idea there were that many Thai varieties. But given how many varieties there are of Capsicum, in general, it's not surprising. Looking forward to following your Glog.

That's getting to be quite a list but a really good mix. How big of a space do you use for that many, acre +? You got some good shots of the kids. I really like being able to get in close with them. I'm still figuring out the whole macro functions on my cam but hopefully I'll get it down this season and can quite using the IPhone. Here's to a great season, looks like everyone's getting off to a good start this year.

Cheers,
RM

I wish I had an acre, my entire lot is .28 and the house takes most of that. It takes serious space planning and I have 2 dedicated areas that I worked into a very robust landscape. This year I am going to either do a container grow or raised bed grow in an easement behind my property. I am the one that maintains it and it is completely surrounded by big cedar trees making it unassessable to city mowers.I should be able to use about a 15" x 20" space. I am also considering using a row on my uncles 5 acre garden in Va for a single variety to have it isolated. Have not worked out those details yet.

Thanks for dropping by and good luck to you as well.

Sounds like a great plan, Chris! A 15 x 20 space should give
you some room to expand, for sure! Good luck getting that
underway!

Raised beds and containers definitely make a huge difference when you have a smaller grow space. But peppers are great that way, because you can fit a lot of plants in a pretty small space. I think you should definitely jump at the chance to use a row with your uncles garden--you'll be dangerous with that. Or, even more dangerous.
