So as I am getting the pictures ready(sorry for the delay), let me first
tell you how my season went to this Point:
I starded most of my seeds in the seconf half of april.
I know that this is a bit late, but I went to hospital for operation in february and the doctor advised to keep calm for the next month,so i started a little batch of seeds, about ten varieties. Well, I had the need to grow more and in late april I sowed a lot more....
Oh and i also think this was neccesary because I needed to save some seed which I needed for my seed databank so I can preserve them for many years
(BTW if you are interested in professional seed storing, I could write an article, I think I am quite knowledgeable at this, so just tell me if you are interested.).
I used a rther pricey seedling mix from a local garden store. As it seems, it was infected with dark-winged fungus gnats and their larvae started eating my seeedlings. I did take care of em and even removed larvae out of seeds to save them.
After that, in May things were running pretty good an I transplanted my plants, some of them in my greenhouse( it is rather small at 8,1 square meters, but I also use it to overwinter plants and my rocoto gives me a harvest from late February onwards) and outdoors, too.
I had an aphid invasion in my greenhouse, but that was rather easy to combat.
From June onwards, the weather wasn´t very optimal with mostly nearly no sun at all, or with alot of sunshine and absolutely no rain.
Because of the latter I got a spidermite invasion and nearly thought my season would be over.
Fortunately, after combating the Spidemites with High humidity(Read: setting greenhouse floor underwater) and using some Pyrethrum some predatorialmites started to appear and they killed of the spidermites...
In August we also had a nasty hailstorm with huge hailcorns( about an inch in diameter), but it nearly did no damage at all.
So while I was not amused about the circumstances this year, I am pretty content with my plants because of despite not having very good conditions they went mostly very well.
So next post will be pics.

Wow JuanH it sounds like you had a difficult year. I am happy for you that you came out winning against all those problems.

I want to try all the different pepper types and am wondering if you had any spare seeds from:

C. microcarpum

C. cardenasii

C. rhomboideum

C. praetermissum

C. chacoense

C. lanceolatum

I don't know any of those but would like to try them.

Please PM me if you have any to spare.

Thanks and good luck;
Greg
