LED Driver Question

I've been looking around at LED drivers on ebay, and most if not all of them say the voltage is x-y (24-32 for example). I was curious as to what this means, can anyone explain it for me?
LED drivers are constant current, the voltage will change to meet whatever you plug in to it (as long as it's in range)

it's not adjustable

EXAMPLE:
buy a 750ma 30-40v driver

my 10w leds run great at 750ma...
White is 3v
blue is 3v
red is 2v

So to get in the drivers range i need to add leds(in series) until i'm in the range...

so can do like 10 blue.. or 13 white... or 20 red (etc i hope you get the point)

+1 juanitos

Let me give another example. I've got a 2.2 amp driver with a voltage range of 36 -48. Based on that current the data sheet says the LEDs use (drop) a little more than 3.2. I want to get as many LEDs as possible. 15*3.2=48. Since that is the highest voltage the driver provides and the data sheet showed a little more than 3.2 required voltage I'll go with 14. 3.2*14=44.8. Within the range

 I don't use Drivers.
I use resistors,computer power supplies and a regulator-LM 315(17?) or whatever I need,several Lm's work.

NOT the most efficient way to run any LED.

BUT I want every wave length a single 1 Watt LED can produce.

I use every voltage that will MAYBE be as close to the light PEPPERS need-400nm to 700mn.
I use Chinese LEDS.
Only a VERY few have fried in all the time I've used them.
Most fried when I drove them at the Max.

I grow on shelves for starts that I want bushy and to put out a few pods (pure) them everything goes outside.

Wayright knows his stuff.

Do what your grow needs.
I LIKE 1 watt LEDS -FOR MY USE!
Been using them for years. Both stars and 10mm LEDS.

MY grow is MY grow.

I do not have a grow like several other people need.
I want to get pure seeds from my plants-1 big pod OR several small pods.

I have no clue as to a total indoor grow for production lighting is needed.

I do what works for MY grow.
I'd NEVER build my own drivers IF I was growing for commercial production of pods.
NOT EFFICIENT AT ALL.
LM's waste too much stuff by heat alone.
Also eat up 3+ volts each.
On my 49-50 star panels that puts my lighting close to Fluoros.
I just get control of the wave lengths I want on my shelves-what works for me.

Ma= brightness,Volts = wave length.

this is the least efficient and most complicated way to do it

everything juanitos said is corect

on a side note if your voltage requirement is a bitty bit too high the driver will lower the current until the volts are in range(its a bit touch and go but if your string is like 1or 2 volts over it will be fine)
