My bonchi's ?

At what point are you going to let them get larger and grow peppers? I don't understand the reason to choose a chili plant instead of another bush or small tree and haven't seen enough made from chilis to make a comparison.
 
i am giving the bonchi thing a go too. had a m. scorp and a chocolate hab that i was just going to let go (already have mother plants for each in, and clones started) but figured it was worth a try, worst case is they die, and i'm not out anything, best case is some bonchi awesome. Here's my M. Scorp. I cut it down yesterday:

 
Well at this time I want of them just to survive trough the winter, then next year they hopefully grow some chilies, and look like cool bonchi.
