Wow, thats a lot of work you do nay nay to keep them out. I would just put a whole Bhut with some nuts in it, or around it, and see if they decide to take it, that might change their minds .

LOL! How devious Yeah, that's why the cayenne pepper keeps them away. My Bhuts, which I didn't plant any of this year, are too precious for me to waste on the squirrels. So I just use some store bought cayenne pepper (I make my own cayenne pepper, but use store bought on the squirrels) and it keeps them from coming by. Caring for my peppers is a labor of love.
