New Grow Setup + Update

I just made a new home for my peppers and veggies. I was using a storage container with a shoplight with two CFL 6500K lights. My Brandywine tomato plants outgrew that setup and I wanted to make something that was cheap and contained most of the light that my lights put off. I made the decision to insert 2 additional 5000K lights to give me a some additional spectrum as well as double my light output. I only have about 12 plants growing, but i am just growing for myself and that seems like plenty.

List of Plants
2 Brandywine Tomatoes
5 Orange Habanero
2 Red Caribbean Habanero
1 Pequin
2 capsicum pubescens (thank you nitwit havent sprouted yet but the pequin has!!)
I chose to upgrade into a bigger box. I chose a storage box since I could cut pieces out as a wished.

Then I lined it with aluminum foil.

Now the plants that are going in have already liked this kind of setup alot. These are pics of plants that will be going into the box.

It is alot brighter in there than in my other setup and the plants seem to like it. With the cut open flap and top ventilation (no fans) temperature is steady at 86 F.

Here is more pictures of the plants.

dangg duude. Im about to copyy yourr idea, if you dont mindd !

I put one of the orange Habs on a friends Balcony when the Habs were all sprouts and it gets direct sunlight for about 6 hours and my plants are about 5 times bigger than his. So far I am a fan of the box setup.

Your plants look really good in structure as well as color.
Keep up what you're doing your plants seem to love it!!

Good luck, Jack

Thanks for all the nice comments. The plants have been in there for two days and are already growing taller and wider. I will post some more pictures soon since those pictures were about 3 days old.

glad to try to help out

on the grow chambers,

guys you need to be really cautious about cooking the crap out of cardboard

keep all flammable crap well away from heat sources

make a coat hanger frame to suspend the foils from or something
hab dude you were going to move the plants outside?

dude dude you are in palos verdes, you can grow outside, can't you?

the indoor grow is for them that can't get the plants out now
usually too cold at night we are going to above 52°F for a
long time harden them suckers off and plant OUT

you will find the plants will also out grow your three foot tall box really quick too

hope you can grow with the sun it kicks butt and it is free(for now)

I put the tin foil all on the inside to avoid the cardboard from heating up. The box is kept at room temperature. The only thing I was worrying about is the cfl burning out and catching the cardboard on fire. Is it something to worry about? And yes still growing inside but will grow outside in 2 weeks!
