Not-Datil?

I got some seeds from a forum member for Datils and the plant is just now making pods. Probably a stupid question, but do Datils start out round? I'm thinking this a Not-Datil. No worries, the seeds were free. It at least looks like a chinense.

Yup. Pods are only about a week since they first developed. Will wait and see what they mature into and what the plant makes when it's bigger. Thanks.

Could very well be a Datil. Here are pics of my Datil that is still producing even with day temps. falling in the 40's.
I bring her into an unheated garage at night.

Datils are sooo good!
