I figured I'd share part of my harvest that I picked today. Nothing too spectacular or special. Just a small harvest. Pictured are my orange habs and caribbean reds.
I take pureed pickled orange habs in a pour bottle whenever I go to someone's house for dinner. It's a pepper most people who enjoy spice can handle, so it makes a great 'meat & potatoes' everyday chilli. One can never have too many imo
Yeah the Caribbean reds were my surprise winners this year. I just happened to find some locally, and now that I've grown them I don't think I'll be without them again.
I remember eating my first one whole, oh wow this is hot, about 2x the heat of the orange habs, but it tastes oh so good.
I still have a ton more green pods that are waiting to ripen, they are racing the first frost, which with all these temp drops lately, probably won't be too far away
