How many seeds will a bhut jolokia pod normally? I was given a pot with what was supposed to be pre sowed ghost seeds but was surprised to sprout 100+ seedling from two peppers! This can't be right can it?

my last ghost peppers had about 15-17 seeds in each pod.. just giving you numbers.. did you see the pods the seeds came from?

No I did not they gave me a pot with the seeds already sowed in the dirt and was told is was the seeds from two pods.

Or possibly it was Caribbean Red Habaneros. That would be very possible with them. Did you get to have one of the pods that grew with the ones the seeds came from???

seems like Bhuts for me run somewhere about 40 seeds/pod in a good year...

I would say I average around 25 seeds from each pod. I have had pods with well over 40 though.
