actually, at least on my screen, they look like they would have been closer to red when finished...

they are awful dark - at least as compared to the orange habs that come at my grocer.

There are so many sub-varieties of orange habanero there is no way to rule them out by what may be seen in someones grocer or even what they grow themselves, most of what we grow in the states don't look like the ones grown in the dominican or mexico. Just saying, they are all decent and have their uses, and they are really easy to grow.
