Pepper Reference

I have always wanted to find a complete Pepper Reference. A visual aid. Maybe with a brief background and history. Maybe a book or a wall poster, or a website.
I have found a few online but they don't look complete to me. Does anyone have links to share. I would like to find one that shows all peppers from sweet to hot.

Thanks in advance.

Dang it Potawie!!....beet me to it by seconds! lol

Ok, since Quick Draw McTawie’s already provided one of the more comprehensive resources your likely to find I figured I’d give you three links to reputable seed company’s. Good sources from seeds yea, but the real reason Im providing these is that the descriptions on various peppers from these sites were invaluable when I started out. Hope this helps!

Dewitt/Boland have several newer books but you'll find more up to date info right here or online
I agree with you that there is more info available on line for newer cross breeds etc.
But I still like to have a hard copy desk reference and enjoy the great photos and quick access.

Thechileman database is definitely the most comprehensive quick reference... but a lot of empty entries as of yet. With the massive amount of peppers he has, you might also try Semillas la palma. Not all of it is translated (google can fix that for you), but it's probably one of the largest vendor lists I've encountered.

With the rate new varieties are developed I'd often wondered if we might be better off with a wiki-type setup. Stave off some of the sensationalism and try to look at things objectively. Being able to cite what few sources are available would be handy.

fatalii.net has a pretty huge set of pages with pics and short descriptions but mostly just something like "very hot, but tasty".. but mostly excellent pictures.
