Poor communication = Too much pork

I wanted to smoke something on the grill this weekend and decided to head to the local butcher shop today to pick up a couple of slabs of ribs. Great plan, except my wife had gone to the exact same butcher shop to pick up a nine lb. bone-in pork butt roast roughly 20 minutes before I got there. (She REALLY likes my pulled pork!)
I also picked up duplicate lunch meat (smoked turkey) and almost duplicate cheese (she got farmer cheese, I got brick).
Hmmm. I wonder if I went to the liquor store and picked up a bottle of bourbon and a few bottles of Belgian ale if the same twofer deal applies... But I digress.
Which pork should I smoke this weekend? I've never done ribs before  , so I really want to give that a whirl. But I really like smoking butts and have been looking forward to doing one for a while now.
Which one freezes best? Which one would you rather see food porn pics of this Saturday? Gimme some thoughts!

A couple slabs of ribs slow cooked on the grill is just an appetizer anyway, do both!

Make both smoking costs money, it takes the same wood and coals only once not twice.

Eat some of both, save the rest. Eat through the week and make tacos burritos pizza whatever.

Not enough room for both. It's just a 20" Weber kettle. Besides, either one will yield plenty of leftovers. Just the wife and me piggin' out.

Food saver pulled pork, reheat in a pot of water inside bag and it will be like it just came off the smoker minus the bark of course.

I know what you mean. I use the Food Saver all the time on smoked chicken for enchiladas. Opening that bag is like opening a vacuum sealed bag of coffee. They do a great job of maintaining flavor.

:)

I don't consider smoked food leftovers, load up the smoker when you cook, heck when you eat at BBQ joints it's from warming trays, or at the lesser quality joints, reheated, so you're doing the same as restaurants do. And it's good right? ;)

Then we have a predicament.

Yeah but HM01 only has a kettle grill, not a WSM. They won't both fit.

You got that right pendejo! When I smoke a butt, my wife and I feast for a week. That stuff just seems to get better until it's gone.
And I know all about the glory of a steam table. I worked my way through college standing between one and a bank of grills fryers and broilers!

That's why youz guys are here!

20" kettle you can fit the butt and a rack vertically in a makeshift rib stand. Bend it around the perimeter and stand it up with an empty can or lean it on the butt! You can do it!!! ;)

On the other side your fire and water pan.

Save the other rack for grilling or a different way, Asian or something.
