1/23/12 After 3 days of neglect while I was out of town. Tray sat on a table near south facing window. Not what they needed but it kept them alive. I used my 15 minutes of free time for the week and hung a light for them.

Waiting his turn... does anyone know of a different kind of lady bug that is a bit more ambitious? Seems like they want the larvae tp do their work.

Good stuff. Pr0d! Really healthy looking pods.
Those 7 pots are gnaaaaarly!

Wow! Great pod shots brother! My ladybugs are doing a fine job! For the first time all season I am having to really search for the aphids...there are still a few out there, but mainly on my inground plants. I nested all my containers and released about 750 on them last weekend. Can't wait for the nymphs to start showing up!

Your island looks really well done! Soil looks rich and fluffy too, what all is going in that spot?

Thank you guys! I made a mistake, those are yellow 7s.

Shane I released 1500 over a 4 day period, followed instructions 100%. Most left, some went on the prowl, and the rest just lounge around. I am not worried about the aphids as much as red spidermites. I honestly can't see a ladybug catching one of those things. Containers are easier to inspect, the ground plants are a PITA. The island has my misfit plants that were still in 5x5 pots, and eggplant, lettuce ,etc.

7 Pot Brown look almost Bhut-like... did you grow them last year too?

No sir I did not, red 7 pot was the only super I grew last year. It could very well be a bhut. I have 4 plants that aren't growing true so far so anything is possible. If you see anything you like feel free to ask,I will send you seeds or pods.
These are pods off of the same brown 7 plant

Great pics, beautiful pods.

I don't know the story behind the Brown 7, but from the looks of it, could be a cross with a choco bhut... will be interesting to see how they look when ripe.

Not Black Naga - awesome!

I also have a few seedlings emerging now I'll be keeping, glad to see I'm not the only one.

Those are some insane looking scary pods!!! (especially the predator) Is that pod also from the Not black naga cross plant?
