Problem with pepper plant

Hello everyone,

I planted this fatalii plant back in May and it had been doing well until recently. I noticed some of the lower leaves turned a little yellow and within the past few days most of the old leaves have fallen off and many of the top ones are small a and turning yellow. I water about every two days because the small pot doesn't hold water well. I fertilize with 10~10~10 every week or two. No signs of pests so I'm thinking my watering or fertilizing is wrong. Any help is appreciated

Do you have good drainage? soil looks very moist and could be a sign of over watering. every couple days is too systematic and needs to be more of a need for water requirement. the yellowing and leaf loss is attributable to over watering.

I agree with HP. I lost a couple leaves that looked like the picture so I let the soil dry out a bit and watered less often and it hasn't happened since.

Once the damage is done the damaged area won't recover much if at all, but keeping a decent fert. ratio and only watering as much as needed may keep the problem from happening again.
