Question about Caldwell's Vegetable Starter

I'm new to fermented hot sauce & was wondering if I needed to adjust the salt in recipes when I'm using Caldwell's starter?

I've always used less salt because I use a starter whitelab and Probiotic capsules. Never used Caldwell but I believe they list the amount of salt recommended per weight. Usually a starter allows for less salt do to quicker fermentation.
