There's the answer to your question, right there.  Get an intermediate mix going, with a minimal up-potting, and wait for the final mix to come in.
.
75% peat
25% perlite
.
Roll about 1/2 cup per 5 gallons of Dr Earth into that, along with a Tbsp of either dolomitic lime or ground eggshells.
.
These days, I really keep it simple.

Got a 5 gal bucket of your exact mix ready to go for the little bacctums,, I'm tempted to add 1/2-3/4 part organic Kellogg or organic Miracle grow container soil to this mix, would that help or hurt..?

Ive gotten that Timber Line pine mulch before and its FAR more chunky than the fines i can get in bulk. Many pieces are over an inch in size. It pretty simple though to make a coarse screener for it.

This is the good one from TimberLine

The timberline stuff is sourced and distributed regionally. Yours may be different than ours. Pieces over an inch are really not a problem it's worse when there are too many small particles. (Sand and soil). It works fine, though. I've used it for years.

That type in your pic is not at local Walmarts around here. Have to order it.

Seems the stuff around here is mostly very large chunks for landscape beds top cover, some has color mixed in. Is that stuff ok to use on peppers...?

It will work, but not in the way that we're discussing here. Best not to confuse the discussion with it. Stick with fines. If I get a chance later, I'll show you what the local stuff looks like.

Alright guys well here is what I ended up mixing this everting. I would have like to try some pumice or a couple other things but I had to settle on what was available locally.

4 cf perlite
6 cf peat
2 cf organic compost - local stuff that was about 50% aged pine
2 cf worm castings

With the following amendments:
7.5 cups Neem Cake
5 cups azomite
7.5 cups kelp
18 cups humic acid
9 cups oyster shell
2.5 cups 4-3-0 crab meal
3 cups 9-3-1 bat guano

I transplanted 6 sugar rush peaches into 10 gallon cloth pots and 7 aji pineapples into 7 gallon cloth pots.

Heres a pic from tonigt, Ill post another in a week or two.
